Jean Paul Gaultier is doing his part to make the earth a better place by teaming up with Brazilian shoe company Melissa to create an eco-friendly shoe.
The 10 cm stiletto, which will come in black, caramel, tangerine, lime and beige is 100% recyclable and will be hitting shelves in June, just in time for summer!
JPG says of the collab “Working with Melissa has been a coup de pied à la mode. I’ve enjoyed the challenge of creating a high-heeled plastic shoe with all the values of my design ethos.”
It’s simple, chic and we can’t forget EXPENSIVE.
The plastic heels will cost around $320.
Yikes. No one said being eco-friendly was cheap!
