Being green never looked so good!
With cities like San Francisco and corporations like Whole Foods banning the use of plastic bags, more consumers are making the switch to reusable bags for grocery and retail shopping. Reusable Bags are the way to go!
At the Gift and Home Furnishings Market in Atlanta, we found a couple of great options for consumers.
Neela Bags – Being Green Never Looked So Good!™
Launched in 2008 by friends Renee Fischer and Carla Mann, Neela Products (www.neelabags.com) offers fabulous options in high-style designs for any practical use, whether you’re heading to the grocery store or hauling your sneakers to the gym. Their top-selling product is the Market Pack, which is unique to their line. You get five bags in a convenient carrying pouch and the set retails for $28.00 – where else can you get FIVE high-style bags for under $30?! Their newest product is the Insulated Tote, which buys you some extra time to get home if you’ve picked up some ice cream or other spoilable foods at the grocery store. The bags come in a variety of fabulous designs such as blue damask, pink and brown zebra, and a gorgeous kelly green circular pattern.
Another great reusable line came from Knock Knock (www.knockknock.biz), a company well known for its hilarious tongue-in-chic books, accessories, and office supplies. Their “Forgettable Bags” line calls you out for trying to be environmentally conscious by purchasing reusable bags, but knows we often forget to actually bring them into the store! We’ve become accustomed to conveniences like bottled water and disposable bags, but these bags with phrases like “My Recycling Pile is Larger Than Yours”, might guilt us into remembering to follow through on some of our eco-friendly intentions.
